Ancient wisdom in birthing

Birthing has existed ever since the birth of cosmos and it has just been a natural and joyful process which is celebrated as a festival not by the family alone but as a communal celebration, every home involved with their part of responsibility  to make this celebration memorable.!
I remember a part in Bhagavatam where lord Krishna birth was celebrated by the women in the Yadava community where the welcomed the baby and visited mother Yashoda by bringing pots of hot water for bath and took care little Krishna where new mother was allowed to rest, gifting gold or toys or clothes alone may not depict love, gifting some time  to the newborn and mother is still precious gift which one can give and in return experience the little angel love 💓
When we read the ancient scriptures of any culture Indian, roman, Chinese, Egypt or Japan every tradition all women attended the delivery and birth happened in natural way which could involve some herbal medicine, music, dance and meditation to smoother the process.

Let’s start with India..!
In India all delivery before 5 decades were at home guided by  great Grand mother’s and midwife and vaidya.
The midwife visited every month as part of her visit she prepares the mother psychologically and physically for
Birth and a separate room was prepared well before the expected date, room was sanitised and the entry into room was totally restricted and entrance of room had sand on which the cow dung cakes were fired and  placed as a line in entrance of the room and the one entering room washed their legs and hands and exposed to warmth in this fire which would disinfect their hands, turmeric, neem and crowding cake , cow urine were used as disinfectant , no medicines were involved in the labour or postpartum

Similarly acupuncture And acupressure and herbal decotions were widely used in Chinese tradition.

In Brazilian culture all women gathered at birth place and celebrated . labour was experienced with music and dance in attune with pain as it is released into nature and mother to be experienced that ecstatic moment completely during labour and delivered baby with complete consciousnesses.
Even in Africa the birthing rituals are considered very important to get the bondage between newborn and family.they invoke the goddess energies to help in birthing.
There so many other cultures where  pregnancy and childbirth were given highest importance.!!

Today in current world it’s important to reduce our drug dependence as much as possible and encourage mother to be to have positive pranic food, meditation, music ,and enjoy the nature and  read more books to dive in the wisdom of great masters before welcoming the little miracle on this earth 🌍 plane , don’t we..??
